I wrote this on my travel journal:
3/24/10
Today, I am on the plane and I don´t know the time. All I know is that the plane is BORING sometimes, and I am somewhere in the world, there are 13 hours and 08 minutes until I get to Hong Kong. I stopped at Newark, New Jersey and I ate a hamburger for lunch. So right now I have not had fun yet.

The distance from Newark to Hong Kong is 8441 miles, 15 hours. After I arrive in Hong Kong I have to take a jetfoil to Macau.

Today I have jetleg. Jetleg is when you are tired and your hours are switched. In Macau, for example, if it is 8:00 in the morning, it´s 8:00 at night in America but the night before. Macau is ahead of America by 12 hours.


3/29/10

Today, I went to the Red Market. I went with my mom and Grandma. My mom said I was having Culture Shock because I did not like the market.

I did not like the market because there were too many people and too much confusion. There were cars and motorcycles were driving where people were walking. At the red market the fish was alive! I did not like that either.

Macau

Dear everyone, I am in Macau. I like it here. I miss my family in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I am having a blast here.

Reflection Book - 4

Tired! Tired! Tired! Second grade is tiring. We got a letter from A. I miss A. a lot. We have also been learning about arrays for multiplication. It is fun learning. We have also been learning about weather. In our weather unit we learned about the seasons. In the north and south hemisphere the seasons are in different months, like Summer is in December, January and February. Second grade is so tiring!

Do you know what we did in school? Today we will make group posters. I have an idea for a name. My idea is: The Ninjas. We also have a weather folder. We wrote a table of contents in it, we are on #11. We started a new chapter book called: The World According to Humphrey. At the end of each chapter there is a tip on owing a hamster. Do you know how busy we can be in second grade?

Terrific! terrific! Terrific! Second grade is so terrific! In second grade we have a student teacher. her name is Miss Bryan. Miss Bryan is an excellent teacher! We are also learning illegal words. If you use an illegal word life fun we get pretend arrested! We are also doing writing promptsand I did on Filipa! Did you know ww were that busy?

Second grade! Second grade! Second grade! We are doing December poems in school. We got to choose our partners and my partner is D. In gym we are doing the reindeer run. When we do the reeindeer run, we have to run a lot and it is hard. In English we are learning about adjectives. I know that adjectives are describing words. Second grade will always be busy!

Do you know how busywe are in Second grade? Yesterday we had our South America quiz. Dis you know that South America was the first place to have chocolate? We also have been reading lots of Jan Brett books. Last yearin first grade we also read lots of her books. We are also working on our ancestor reports. During the weekend I am going to work as much as I can. This is how busy second grade is!

Fun! Fun! Fun! In secong grade we are learning about Brian Lies. Just like what we did with Jerry Pollatta last year. This year Brian Lies is comming to school. We are also learning about Asia. It is the largest continent in the world! We are also doing reading test practice. It is fun doing it. Did you know that we're busy in second grade? Well, now you do!

Second grade has been interesting. We have learned about sound. We learned about the three smallest bone in our body, they are in our ear. We also get to go to the Computer Lab. We got to write a paragraph about our favorite day of the week and yesterday we got to see our grade. Then we got to go to the Computer lab and type it. Then we got to type it in. We also get to do erature reviews. I have done three literature reviews. In summary, second grade is awesome!

Busy, busy, busy! Second grade is always busy! Today we made group posters. The name of my group is The Brainiacs. This morning we made turkeys out of paper bags. We use lots of crafty stuf. A couple of weeks ago we moved our desks and got new partners and I got two partners. As you can see, second grade is a busy grade.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Second grade is so awesome. This morning Feido came back! He is a nice happy healthy dog! We have been learning about family traditions. We also learned about how our ancestors lived before us and if you double each number you get a lot of people in your family. We have been learning temperature. We learn about celsius and farnheit and how in the United States we only use farnheit. As you can see, second grade is really, really awesome!

1. 9/11/09
Second grade is a blast! Every afternoon we have Silent Reading. I brought in Junie B. Jones is a Graduation Girl. We are reading lots of Kevin Henkes books. My favorite book is Wemberly Worried.

2. 10/2/09
Second grade has been fun and exiding so far. We all have homework passes. We have been learning about the 7 continents and the 5 oceans. I have not used my homework pass yet. We are learning new vocabulary words. My favorite vocabulary word is topple because it sounds cool. We hve been learning roman numerals sense the first day of school. My favorite roman numeral is 1,000 beacuse this is how you write it, M. The number 1,000 in roman numerals is M and M is the first letter of my name. Finally, Second gradeis a fun grade.

3. 10/16/09
Second grade has been awesome so far this year. We are going to have a new student. L. is coming on picture day. We have been reading Charlotte's web at the rug. It has twenty two chapters and I got it as a prize when I won the raffle on the same day. We played math games this morning. In our classroom we play Beat the Calculator, Fact Triangles, Money Exchange and Adition Top It. Finally, second grade is awesome!
